They are still around.....last I heard. A guy around here just got some decals for his real van from them. They moved locations or something so that might be part of the issue and maybe they are making a new website? But they are still around and kicking.

The former owner now works at Hobbico (Great Planes). I'm not sure if he still has any connection to the company. Don't know more than that.

Tim no. I only own a 1/12 car and I havn't run anything on carpet since last time I saw you. I do think of you guys from time to time. I trust work is going OK. I know it was a concern. I really appreciated the time you spent helping me as well. Thanks again. I will never forget that. The racing world needs more people like you.

Some things have become more important since last time I ran as well. So racing is lower on the rank. Not number 1 or 2 now. Some things that weren't getting the time they needed are now getting the time required.

I would like to get out again. We'll see what the future holds. Thanks for asking. Say hi to your son as well. Your a dynamic duo. Later

I heard that Proline was interested in buying Maxspeed design. Dont know what happened with the deal. Scott Kramer who owned or owns maxspeed had always done great work for me in the past but Im pretty sure he sold off the vinyl business.

Cosmo did sell the business months ago. Word on SGRID is not too good, most say the new owner is pretty slow to respond to emails.

That's an understatement.

I dealt with Scott at MaxSpeed for a couple of years and his work was awesome. He always took care of me, even when I was stupid and forgot to order stickers for a big race until the last minute. He got them done right away and shipped to me in plenty of time. He even did a pit board for me once. He did sell the company some time ago and in all honesty, the quality and service has gone down hill. I don't like to bash any company, ever. But it seems others are having the same issues I had just a few months ago before the Reedy Race and I don't want anyone else to have to deal with the frustration. I placed an order 7 weeks before the race for a bunch of stickers. The same ones that Scott had done for me a number of times. The first Email was returned right away telling me Scott was no longer there and that they'd get the order going right away for me. Every Email after that had to be sent at least 2 or 3 times before I'd get a response. There was one new sticker that I wanted to have done and had asked 4 times for a sample to make sure it looked the way I wanted. Never saw it. 4 weeks after the order was placed I hadn't seen it, hadn't got any responses, and wasn't sure if I ever would. Eventually I actually got a response to one Email and was told they'd ship out the week before the race. (6 weeks after the order was placed ) Never showed up. I called a couple of times and after the third one, I finally got a hold of someone and asked them to overnight them to my hotel for the race. Never showed up. A week after the race, (just over 2 months after the order was placed) they show up at my house. When I open the package, the quality was the worst I've ever seen. The colors had streaks through them and looked like they bled through like a bad masked paint job. The color was faded, and they just looked like crap. The New sticker I wanted didn't look right at all. Had they Emailed me the sample I requested, I would have told them that before they made them. The only thing they did right was the name stickers. They looked very good.

Now I have 10 sheets of custom stickers that look like hell that I paid $50 for and will probably never end up using.

Like I said, I don't like bashing anyone or any company. But I think people who are expecting the quality and service Scott provided should be informed.

hey guys

just scrolling through the threads and came across this one. check out www.dekelz.com i have switched all my business to mick at dekelz. the quality is increadable, all laminated precut decals from name plates, chargers, to custom requests. he responds quickly and has proofs to me within a day or two with the order being shipped out a couple of days after that. great prices, all in canadian funds( a bonus for our neighbors to the south) he just finished some cutom wings for my buggy and they look great. at the end of the day all we want is a few things 1: service 2:quality and 3:a fair deal. dekelz seems to make all of these there benchmark. take my word for it give mick a try and you wont be disapointed

Yes I too have dealt with Scott in the past and had great service. Now I may need to go to Dekelz.
