Default Looking for AXIS 2 Setups

Hey guys looking for some carpet set-ups for the Axis 2.

Also give us some insight on what modifications you have done onto your Axis 2 to perform better?

Thinking about making a 3mm Graphite thick chassis for the Axis 2.

Tell me what you like about the Axis 2 and how it compares to the New Mission which i bought but sold because it wasnt up to par.

Thanks Edward Pickering

hey dude. yeah, even the schuie thread doesn't have much info for the axis series. it is one of the best threads on here though. my friend runs an a2 and he talked to paul wynn when we were all practicing for the indoor champs. paul gave him a setup that really works well for our carpet scene. i'll tell you what i know.

- first and formost, run a rigid top plate. the axis one or a 99 pro one will fit atop the existing and tie in. rarely does a flexible machine work on carpet. and the a2 is king of flex.

- with this in mind, do get the stiffer chassis as well if it's in your budget.

- umm here's what i remember for the setup from pw

- front
40 lb spring
70 wt
2 hole
using 99 mounting position (all the way in)
droop 1-2mm
std roll center
no sways
inline kingpin position (be careful and make sure turnbuckle is 2/3 in arm and 1/3 in ballend)
castor in middle position
camber set for even wear (1-1.5)

- rear
35 lb spring
70 wt
2 hole
leaned in as well
droop 2-4mm
std roll center
no antisquat
no sways
camber 2 - 3 for even wear.

whoops forgot to mention that this was with foams. ugghh. big difference. hope it's applicable.

for more questions or setup advice pm paul here or just call them at schuie usa. they are the coolest and nicest dudes around. talk to adrian or paul.

hope this helps
later,
chris.

If you really want to find out, post your question in the Schumacher thread... Paul answers questions there along with other long time schumacher guys.
