Thats £20 cheaper than the Much More version. Mine's already on order. :smile:

Anyway, Does anyone else this theres a factory in HK or China doing these (unbranded) even cheaper?

I hope it cools better than my Much More did... I was very unhappy with mine... definitely not worth the price I paid

the problem with tiers is that they use only one 30mm peltier. in addition they do not use any thermal grease between the clamp and the peltier to more effectively transfer the cold. bigger heatsink and two peltiers will always do better, especially in hot air temps which is really the reason you're using one of the coolers anyway.
Crazy Ronny, myself and a few others out there have been making what we think are much more effective units for a while. However, the muchmore unit can be more effective if you take it apart and apply some thermal grease on the contact surfaces for the pelties. Make sure it goes back together nice and tight to avoid airgap.

I did that and it still wasnt what I expected. I think thats the main problem is that people expect alot more.

yep, you're right :D The one really nice thing about their coolers is the fan. It puts out 12000 RPM and manages to keep the dinky heatsink somewhat cool. However, the problem lies in heatsink/peltier combo. Here is a copy to my thread but as you can see, instead of using a 50mm heatsink like them, I use a 60mm unit and 2 40mm peltiers. Nice and cool but not as flashy!

you sure can. You would just have to use thermal epoxy to keep everything together as the brackets which holds the unit together can't reach to screw it back together if you add a peltier. What you also have to keep in mind is when you add a peltier, the heatsink may not be able to dissipate all the heat on the top. The cold side will get cooler with 2 peltiers but the hot side will get hotter as well and you may defeat your purpose.
