Default Reedy Ti Modified

Are these best modified engines

Which is faster the 8 turn Triple or 8 Turn Double. Are thes roar legal for modified?

If these aren't the best and fastest what is.

triple wind will have slightly higher RPM but less torque at that higher RPM.

dunno if they are roar legal?!? Everyone else is using 12 turns for mod limits.

As far as I know, ROAR has no current limits on mod motors... some races, however, are imposing 10 turn limits on the cars - so I would check with your track.

Regarding fastest motors out there.... ask 10 people, get 10 different answers

Won't say best, but will say good solid fast motors. You won't go wrong with a Ti.

I've also run P94's and they're not bad either.

Wanna run a flatliner, just to see.

Anyway - the more winds, the smoother the power but less punch.

Hi Guys,

I run the Ti cans myself, very good motors in my opinion. Always fast and reliable. Also, we got some Ti motors from Yokomo USA on sale. Handwound modified with Quasar brushes installed for less than $30. It's a limited quantity blow out sale.

ROAR Nationals are a 10-turn limit. It was voted in a year or two ago.

I didn't think Reedy made x3 Ti's. I thought they only had doubles and singles?!

Yeah, they make singles, doubles, and triples. Reedy's full listing is at: http://www.rc10.com/misc/database/db_motor_mod.htm .

my view, based on testing is that the orion core is the best motor. People have different views but mine is based on performance.

as for wind, I would always get a triple, the power delivery is smoother and you can always alter your gearing to suit the track for slow corners.

Hi,

How do you Guys gear these monsters, I just got one and would not like to burn it I have a TRF 414M-I was thinking of 8.4:1 with a 122 spur and 31 pinion.

Thanx

Ps:Almost forgot tight track.

Stock springs, but tweak the postivive spring to be a bit stiff, quasar brushes, about 20-24 degrees of timing. It will run fast .

Yeah, they seem to like lots of timing. Just remember that there wil be more brush and com wear.
