I already have a casing design drawn up, that would take the Spec R internals and outdrives, and fit the standard car fine. Would only need to cut away the eccentric holder.

The biggest issue we have, is that the pulley needs to transfer drive to the outer casing to get it too work, and unfortuantly, on the typeR, the two are seperated by a bulkhead. However, I've managed to overcome this with a three piece case design, so the pulley can still mount up fine, and it can be removed from the car.

Now just need to try and get it made...

I have some pictures from the worlds but they are still on the camera.
Iīm just not sure which version I did take pictures. He had to change the batteries requiring changing the topdeck also.

Green slime ? That's odd. Were you not satisfied with regular silicone grease like AE or Schumacher ? the latter is awesome to me. I feel green slime is not at all the best choice for that application, might be wrong though, of course.

Pics of the gear diff casing....

Pulley mount is splined onto the right hand casing part, held in place with a E-Clip.

Driveshaft outdrives run through the tubes, and would be the same items as supplied with a Xray Spec-R diff.

I'm already investigating getting some made, just it's taking time...

Agreed... Green slime is properly not the stuff to use... I would say Schuey is the best, but the latest tube I recieved is no where near as sticky as previous, so I'm going to try out the MarcR stuff when I can get hold of some

This is Lucas Urbainīs car from the worlds. This is the version what worked best for him. In the beginning he had to use different Lipo what required changing the top deck as his Lipo batteries werenīt IFMAR approved.
Later he got some new GM-Racing Lipo what were lower so he could use his special top deck again.

I ran green slime on my 1/12 scale diff and it worked well so i just kept using it . I will try some of the silicon lube you mentioned for my next rebuild and see what it feels like.

Green Slime actually is just for the o-rings at the shocks. This never was designated for the use with diff balls.
My favourite grease for diff balls is the thick AE silicon grease.

If we stuck to using things for what they were designed to do I don't think we'd have nearly as much fun hahaha. I have all kinds of weird Frankenstein stuff in my pit box.

Is that a Mclaren in your avatar? Where is that from? was it a series race? I don't think i've ever seen that livery before.

Yes thatīs a McLaren F1 GTR shorttail. Thatīs my personal favourite racecar ever, but just the shorttail version. That livery is typical Gulf design.
The picture is very old I think this was from a FIA GT series race or from the BPR series. Also at Le Mans the Gulf car was used.
