How do you tune out the bumpsteer with this steering setup? The inner tie rod pivot height changes depending on how much throw you are using. Way back in the day I had an Xpress car that had similar steering. The car was better as soon I switched to a conventional bellcrank system.

You just dont do it..No need!!! Car works fine as is as we both know. There is sooo many tuning options to ajust any thing that is needed in handling as we both know.

I can tell you only a thing.
If you want try it. It's are only 20 minutes of work without cut or drill nothing. If you like ok, if you don't like however ok.
I like it, but it's only my opinion and probably for my drive style.
For bump-in/out you can vary only the height (+or-) of the ball stud of the spindle
ciao ciao

......and this are my tips (now i know how upload pictures ) for the "problems" of the diff.

Team Losi JRXS Type-R-image_050.jpg

Team Losi JRXS Type-R-image_051.jpg

Team Losi JRXS Type-R-image_052.jpg

Team Losi JRXS Type-R-image_053.jpg Insert an O-ring inside the outdrive and apply a tears of rubber glue

Team Losi JRXS Type-R-image_054.jpg apply a tears of rubber glue for seal the slots. Ooops I forgot: before install the outdrive, apply on it 2 or maximum 3 "revolve" of rubber tape

Now your diff., is "totally seal"

Ciao Ciao

Sorry to say but the point of biggest weakness is still wide open. I have been running a little bit of spec racing recently and the diff lasts fine for a whole meet unless it is really dirty. You should rebuild your diff between meets anyway as it lasts a lot longer like that.

I noticed a few pics of the last few pages of various losi's with spec motors. I suggest all of you buy a DUO 1 or 2 and try it out. It is THE best spec motor there is. Skyrocket batteries has some Fantom motors I believe.

Hmmm....I guess everybody that has all the problems with their diffs is because you guys run outside? I run on carpet foams and have never thought that the diffs were ever an issue with this car. I rebuild my diffs like once a month and that's with racing twice a week and sometimes an extra practice day here and there.

wow Lots of wheel time! I consider myself lucky if I get to race once per month with my R.

Yup, I only ran mine indoors, both carpet and asphalt until this year and although I always thought they worked better with a fresh rebuild, it wasn't bad. I clean and regrease them every day when running outdoors.

I wait until MikeXray asks why my car has two spools, then I rebuild the rear diff.

Looking for a few Setup sheets. I need decent starting points for Carpet Rubber, Carpet Foam, and Asphalt Rubber.

I saw setups for the latter 2 on the Losi site but nothing for Carpet Rubber. Will be running 17.5. Any help?

Speaking of setups, are any of you guys who are running 17.5 rubber on carpet running at the new 1350g minimum weight? If so, what kind of setup are you running at that weight?
