I use a hobby knife and trim around the edge of the LCD tube section. From my experience that is all you need to do and everything will go together with no mods required.

Is there any good pics of the "flex" mod available? I'm interested but haven't seen any pictures yet.

From memory it doesn't fit. Don't quote me on that though. The PCD of the bolt holes are entirely different. If you can get hold of HPI spurs, the kevlar ones are very durable, and I use them on asphalt.

Paul,

Got the spools, battery stay replacements and the shaft hardware! Thanks for that! Will try them out on carpet and asphalt soon!

Not an answer to your Robinson spur, but Nexus sells RW spurs and they should fit:

Robinsons will work fine. I have some robinsosns with 6 holes, the one you have a picture of seems to have only 2??. I can't see a problem with using only 2 screw though.
Other gears that fit are XRAY and XENON/HPI. PRS will work if you drill out the the holes one size bigger.

I use PRS spurs and pinions, they work perfectly.

thanks for the input guys,

well here is the issue I have, my local track/shop closed thier door in last spring. that s where I got all my supply incld spurs

then my new supply (on-line) only carries Kimbrough and ribonson, wasnt sure bout Robinson's hole so I got K gears last week ran it at Xray, it s all chewed up already.

and I'm getting a Tekin ESC which requires lot bigger spur gear to make FGR lik 6.25.

so I gotta get spur gear that could work with my car, I dont want to order several and found nothing fits or some...

I already have more than 5 Losi spur gear doing nothing here.

Pablo can you make a center shaft for Losi spurs? more and more ESC's coming with boost timing that will increase RPM that need bigger spur gears.

man trand of everything makes big revolution and come back to us ...always..

Tory, Robinson you used is that the one with 2 hole inside? then you use 2 screws to mount a spur?

I cant find one with 6 inside hole for Robinson, if you can pass me a part #?

thanks

Yes i use the 2 hole ones, but they also have 6 or 8 holes around the outside as well. I just use the 2 holes on the inside.

I use 111 and 115 from this page:

http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalog/64pitchspur.html

Why would you need 6 holes? more rotating mass. Actually I'm sourcing some short titanium screws and short aluminum screws so we can reduce rotating mass even further.

You really only need 2 screws.
