Sounds like you need to hack away the bulkheads a bit to allow more clearence.

I was looking at the IP5000 on the weekend and it looks like unless they get rid of those bumps they will never fit in the losi. I am interested if anyone has played with the thunderpowers yet.

well I think I will return it get something else, I guess the Orion 2's fit with no hacking the chassis.

Mayb we need to look at a better way to fit a lipo. If you made something to retain the front of the lipo you could hack away the lipo tray and that alone would make for a better fit.

Can someone please provide a starting setup for a low-bite unprepared asphalt parking lot course. They use syrup to help with traction. Any help would be much appreciated!

I would start with the kit rubber setup for low grip and work from there.

I have seen that setup but wanted to see if there was an improved setup that has been modified after years of testing and finding things that work and dont work.

If you want I can post up my current setup. I have only run this chassis for 3 meets so far and have yet to get swaybars for it but so far I have been destroying the usual field at my club in 10.5. This is rubber on low grip asphalt.

Sure! Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone recommend starting point sway bars for low-bite asphalt?

I've got a set of alum XXX-S rear hubs NIP, they are the same as the hubs that come on the type-r. I've attached a pic, $40 shipped. PM me if your interested.

Default 41 tooth VS 42 tooth front one way pulley.
I recently found that I have been running the 41 tooth front pulley on my one way and it has been very twitchy. Swapped it for a 42 tooth and had to re-tune the car some and it was better/smoother. Is the 41tooth/overdrive change usually reserved for Asphalt? The car was all over the place in a chicane and lost rear grip during off throttle and worse when braking, and now the car is predictable. Running the Haynes IIc carpet set-up with 20lb front springs.

Just some info, share your thoughts too.

Hi,

i run a typre R at Tempe in 17.5. the guy i bought my car off had it setup for foam so i have no idea where to go from here. i would be interested to see your setup!

im running a front one way, is it worth it with a 17.5?
