here is a post I made on how to widen the pulleys, it's not a big deal and will open your possibilities. You don't have to buy new lipos every 2 months like nimh so you might as well get a good pack from the start.

Do you know what are the most commonly used springs on this car? I don't want to buy springs I won't ever use.

You have to widen the pullies and i beleive dremel the bulkhead a little. I'm not too sure though.

David, for foam the car comes with 30 and 17.5 which work great. On occasion I've only really changed to 15lb rear springs. So If you run foam, really you don't need to get anymore, but I find the only thing that usually varies from my base setup is rear shock spring depending on layout.

The old orions (3200/4800), the losi lipos (5000 20c/4400 30c)
Those are for sure able to fit, i beleive the trakpower 4900 fits as well as the older 28c SMC 4000, but i'm not 100% sure...

Another thing to consider would be the location of the leads coming from the pack, most top-exiting leads won't work, but most bullet connecter holes will.
I'll measure my chassis and orion batt to give ya an idea of space needed. I'll be back.
