I think your best bet is going to be a PRS adapter and spurs from them. I doubt Losi will be doing anything else like that, but you never know.

I am new to this car and to electric onroad. I will most likely be running mod brushless on foam. What are the best lipos that fit with minimal modding in this car? I have all the charging equipment and am an experienced racer, just new to the electric onroad scene. Thanks Adam

From what I hear the SMC 4000 is a direct drop in. That is what I am going to buy.

The SMC 4000 was not a direct drop in for me. I had to grind out the steel lipo tray and grind down the pulleys to allow enough room for it to fit.

I wish the lipo dimension standards matched the NiMh dimension standards. . .

There are other li-po batteries that are direct drop-ins, here are just a few of the most common ones:
- Trakpower 4900
- Checkpoint 5400
- old Orion 4800
- new Orion 5000
- Losi 5000 20c
- I think the old soft-case SMC 5000 fits, but im not sure of that

Another battery that works is the Racers Edge 2s 5000. I've got a couple and they don't move at all. They are really tight in the steel tray, but the case is thick enough to file a small amount off. (I know, not a direct drop in, but really close... )

These are spot on. They require no modification and fit like a glove!

Pretty powerful too!

Hey Guys,

I am a total newbie to this car. Here is my dilemma, I have the following electronics to install.

NOVAK GTB, 10.5 motor
transponder
specktrum dsm2 rec
transponder
orion platinum 2 lipo.

I am waiting on my hobby store to get the new losi lipo battery holder. I am not sure where to mount my receiver and speed control. I am not sure how comfortable I am using the mounting points the manual shows since the speed control has a fan, I wanted it a bit more connected. Could some of you post up some pics or linkify me to some routing configurations. I want a clean look. WIth proper weight balance.

Thanks

Adam
