yup I mounted the first fan to the bulkhead and then screwed the second fan directly to the first one with screws and some locknuts. Otherwise the wires for the brushless motors gets in the way

Yeah, whats the deal with the lipo trays? No more teasin, are they going back in to production or what? UPDATE: I just talked to a guy at Losi and he said they will definitely NOT be making any more of them. He said they were way too expensive to make, and if they made any more they would have to charge twice as much for them.

So does that mean that the guy I spoke with at Losi was misinformed, or just out of the loop or what? He told me that he himself had inquired specificly about this very matter, and like I said, he said it just wasnt cost effective for them to ever produce them again.

I don't know if this helps but this guy is making them or selling them. Might want to check his thread out.

The ones that guys making are just metal plates, theyre not "trays". He has his lipos held to it with electrical tape. I want something a little more clean than that.

Ideally, I would want it sunk in to a tray and snugged tight by the top chassis plate. If there were room, velcro maybe. At last resort strapping tape. Anything but black electrical tape.

Not sure if you know it or not, RocketRon is with Losi/Horizon, so I think he may have a clue as to what is going on.

I never said he didnt. If you dont beleive me, call (888) 899-5674, tell them you have a question about the type R. They will transfer you to a guy who says hes the "type R guy" there, and he will tell you the exact thing that I stated earlier. Youre taking what Im saying the wrong way. I hope the dude at Losi is wrong because I want the lipo tray so Im wishing they do make more of them.

I think it is pretty safe to say they were wrong if Ron is sayin otherwise. I am not calling the 800 number to talk to some office person at Horizon. The guys in the real know are right here on the forum or can be contacted through the forum for a better response.
