Those of us that had the car since it's 3 deck days had no problems, the guys who had recently joined got the same round that the public did.

I got a new set about a month or two ago and they are just as durable as what we had seen before, maybe even better!

They haven't been tested to the max till i have them. Then we will know if they are ok.

One thing i'm thinking though. If when i put the new arms on, will i start breaking something else instead

Something has to give in a crash, if everything flexes it may not snap...i run graphite hubs so that they will snap when somehting needs to give.

Hey guys, I should be getting my spool today. When I reassemble the diff, exactly how tight should I make it? Do I bottom the spring out and leave it, or do I then back it off a half turn? I'd hate to make a gooey mess of everything running it loose.

I ran my spool tension such that you could turn one wheel with a biit of effort when holding the other and the spur. It shpould be able to "give" a bit so it wont brake stuff in a crash. I think it was about .5 turn out.

I lock mine all the way down. Since it's not a pre-built spool (BMI) it will have a little give already.

I'm looking to order some new arms for a Type R, but want to make sure I order the new improved arms...is there a specific part number for the new batch of arms?

Just received my 42t spool in the mail today. I was surprused to see no directions. The manual is no help either, My question is do you leave the D-rings on and just swap out the pully itself, what about the shim?
