I thought maybe all cars were like that depending on weight of each side .. but doesn't seem to be the case ...

anyone else ? or is everyone's shocks all even out on all sides ??

If you take the tires off the car does the chassis sit flat on a setup board?

Default flat

let me check, i think i did that and it does ... but that could account for it ... the end points of the chassis all sit at 5mm and the middle sits at 4.5 ... maybe the centered is bowed ?

i'll check and repost. Thanks !!

Also, I am thinking that the position of your electronics and weight could affect this. If you have more weight on one side of the chassis (drivers side or passenger) this could affect your ride height.

Well, 2nd race with the JRX-S Type R. They changed it to an oval at the last minute, so I decided not to stray too far from my onroad set up for one oval. So I added 1 oz of weight to the left side & adjusted the right rear collar down 1 turn. The car was sweet all day.
I also ran a new motor for the 1st time today. An Ezrun 10 turn 380 motor. It ran awesome! Very happy with that choice.
Qualified 2nd, and finished 1st by 3 seconds.
Needless to say, I love this car!!!!

If anyone is looking for a new Type r. There is a brand new one on ebay for 188 buy it now. Just wanted to pass the deal along. They have several and are a huge dealer on there.

I dont know if anyone posted this yet but losi has dropped the price of a type r to 199.99. http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...rodID=LOSK0256

I wonder what that means?

Either end of the line for the car, or more Type R racers!

you would be pretty pissed off if you just bought one a couple of weeks ago.

anyway, I've just acquired one of the kits at the discount price.

how is the kit setup?

what springs should I get for asphalt?

I have to say i bought 1 right before IIC and boy do i regret it right now. The one i have right now has 3 batteries through it and i cant sell it now. Sucks to be me. I'll guess my 2 losi's will go into a box and maybe see day light in a few years when they are considered vintage.

I guess Losi has finally given up on their onroad program.

I've never run the kit setup. I would look on this thread for a Mike Haynes setup.

I'm running the Turnigy 4000 30c hardshell packs in mine & they're great. Had to install 6mm bullit connectors to get by the top plate, but they're working great.

I also got one of the $199.00 kits from Horizon. If the car starts to vanish, at least I have lots of parts to fall back on.
