I am buying a type R and want to know if any 17.5 brushless motor will fit? If not what is a very high torque motor?

Thanks

The two I've tried are the Novak and Tekin. The Novak fits no problem. The Tekin is a little longer and I had to file down one of the hinge pin blocks to make it fit.

Yes this is a minor problem with brushless motors that have flate end plates. Its a 5 min job to fix. Note that it depends on your gearing. If the motor is a long way back you need to file away.

Thanks for the motor fit question. I am trying to get a hold of the aftermarked pulley so I can run any type gear. I hear that is the way to go.

Just check out skyrocket batteries for the layshaft. They should have some more along with the new spool as well.

On my Tekin Redline I needed to grind a tiny bit of the plastic off the back cover. No big deal.

No, not the motor, the aluminum part that holds the inner rear hinge pin. I had to do this myself this weekend to put in a Redline. I still have to shave a tad more to get the full range of motion out of it.

No, he's not. Its for sale.

Default 1420!

The Executive committee has approved the following rules deviation recommendation from the Electric On Road Class Committee.
Rule 8.10.5.1 minimum weight for T2 Touring Car has been deviated for the Electric On Road Paved Nationals, Hobby Town USA - Frederick, Oct. 1st - 4th. The min T2 Touring Car weight to be used for this event wil be "1420grams / 50Oz /3.125LB"

I think we need to look more hard for a new layout on the chassis

Are you going to have a hard time hitting that weight? My car is 1450 grams, with a thick body. I think I would still have to add about a half oz on my car with that weight limit. I'll check it tomorrow at the track to be sure.

Nope, actullay I think I sold it already. Was up maybe 2 hours and a guy said he'll paypal when he gets home.

Love the car, just I'm am getting involved in the off-raod track there putting in. Going be a ROAR approved track with clay, lights, power, facilitys, tables everything and we/they start with the bobcats next week. So, I'm the only one in my family that likes on-road and everyone else loves the SC10. So I;m just going stick with one thing right now. IT's alot money running all these classes you know, especially now-a-days.

But doesnt mean I'm not still on this sight. hehe or watching this forum.

right now my car in 1480 with 50grams of lead spreading, most on front and rest on rear right near the spur gear.

new lay out mean more weight to the front.

I 'm getting skyrocket shaft and a spool this weekend that will save me about 10grams? then with out all those lead I'll be right on the money but car would be rear end heavy.

I;m going to race this Saturday for the Xray challenge and I 'll test out un-balance/1420 VS 1480/Balanced chassis
