Default FDR Chart

Here is two FDR charts for the JRX-S. One for 41T pulleys and one for 42T pulleys. Both have two pages. Pinions from 10 to 70 and Spurs from 60 to 130. Let me know what you think.

Hi guys,

Just wondering if you can help me....what lipos is everyone using that fit?

I bought an IP3800 25C and find that it rubs against the front belt drive pulley that is connected to the 'top shaft' (the central shaft which drives the front and rear belt).

I also tried a Yeah Racing 3200 stick pack which just fits but runs very close to the front belt (ie approx 1mm or less).

What do you guys use and how to you stop them from sliding around and rubbing against belts, pulleys etc?

Thanks,

Steve

Widen the pulley, pretty much any good pack is going to hit there. Search this thread, I've posted the instructions.

Just use some shims between the alloy spacers on the layshaft and the drive pins. You should be able to fit 0.2mm on both sides which stops the rubbing. We are waiting on a machine to turn up this week then we will be making a replacement layshaft the dosen't have this problem plus has a normal spur adaptor.

I have a orion 3200mah 20C, speed energy 4000mah 35C, that is good fit, or you may try some lipo without case such as by energy 3500mah 25C that I think is good for JRXS

Thanks for the replies on fitting Lipos. MikeXray, I've tried searching but in the search function it only reveals the entire thread with hundreds of pages to sift through. Perhaps I'm doing it wrong though.

I can't see how the pullys can be widened although I have no doubt they can be, as you guys say they can. Currently I've fitted a PRS adaptor, and each pulley is hard against the E-clips that secure them to the layshafy, so they have no room to move. Am I missing something simple here?

Thanks,

Steve

I took both my pullies appart and did the following.. Flat sanded plastic side of pully with 120 grit sand paper and remove .5mm off the inside face. Then took metal side of pully and installed on my tire truer as that stud was exact same size as tire axle. I then sanded with emery file(nail file) same amount .5 off inside face. It took a few minutes with metal side. Slapped both ends back together and now have a ton of room to fit any pack. I actually concider this NARROWING pullies.

Note: This is done to larger diameter area on pullies not shaft opening

Hope this helps

Thanks John for the prompt reply...much appreciated.

I thought about thinning the pullies down but didn't want to weaken the part. Now I know you guys do it , I'll give it a go.

Regards,

Steve

When completed my pully area where belt rides is slightly wider than belt. As the Lipos usally rub the larger face of pullies in past so that is area removed.....

the track is outdoor asphalt, thx so much

Also, I use 11.5T, what ratio is recomment? I use losi 118t 64p with pinion 48t 64p that is the max limit, I feel the car is not fast enough, I don't have the PRS adaptor it out of stock.........
