i may jst bee 9 yeers old butt lisen 2 meh codi. Cut the wire so they run along the chassis, but if you take some slack out of it, and tighten them up, they wont dangle out the side. they will "hover" above the chassis a little bit

Fo sho, i've had the R since horizon shipped to colorado... Ever since then i have always had the wires off the speedo directly to the motor, and after 4 seasons of running it i've been hit more than a couple times, not once did i have an issue with the speed control wires... My GTX capacitor, now that's a different story.

If your orion lipo fits, this one probably will. Just compare the Stats

no the orion doesnt fit its too wide i saw larry runs the ip3800 with his type r but i dont know if it involved any modding

what thermofans for the motor is recommended and where is the best place to locate them on the type R? i know there is 3 positions.

how do they get wired in?

does anyone know where to get a trinity DUO 17.5 stock motor? i cant find on wei nstock anywhere

Until trinity re-releases them your not likely to find one. Speedpassion motors are pretty much the same, just without and endbell that has the 3 timing holes.

Just got my body for my Type R and finished doing my wiring. Thoughts? Running the Speed Passion GT ESC and 13.5.

Why does it help weight balance if the ESC is placed on the opposite side of the motor end bell for brushless?

Looks nice and neat but you have a LOT of wire on there. You can't move the speedy back a bit and shorten those wires? Also resolder the angle they leave the speedy so they go straight to the motor rather than curl around. All that is heaps of weight up high. Nice with all the black wire only though.

I'll post a pic when I finish with mine as its the same speedy.
