i asked this before but dont remember the answer...well 2 of them i do.
i asked what bl esc you all use in these...?

i know of the gtb the sphere and something else...

i seen a guy using the speed passion...it had like 4 little capaciters on it.
it has like a little controller to plug the esc to it to make changes on it.

anyways if anybody in here uses it i would like some feedback on it.

I run the speed passion gt system with the speed passion 2.5R
the only thing i'm trying to do is get the gearing right, can't get a small enough pinion on the motor cause the motor hits on the pully on the layshaft, orded the prs racing spur hopefully i can gear it right, tell ya what tho, it's stupidly fast!!!

It will fit. You just have to sand some material off of each side in the back to make clearance for the layshaft pulleys.

Billbill,
Be sure to disassemble the pack before grinding the case. In order to make it fit I removed as much material as possible while still leaving something there.

yea it does say right in the book that you should mount the brushless esc on the right side of the chassi due to the size of them and that the esc will be closer to the center of the chassi......because of the belt on the left side.the only esc i would put on the left side would be the tekic rs/r1 or whatever.

i personally dont want an r1 cause i run all 13.5.......would love to have an rs but who knows when they will be out.....

i narrowed it down to 2 bl esc......

lrp sphere tc spec
speed passion gt

what do you guys think is better....im guessing you all like the speed passion gt.i dont ever read to much on the sphere tc in the type-r....but again feedback would help much.

BillBill,
You should probably not be trying to do this. It is a difficult thing to do well with significant danger if you fail. I would recommend not using the 3600 in your type R. I had one and found it was flat compared to the 3200's anyway.
