Just wondering if anybody has tried to put an Orion 3600 in their car yet? Nothing like busting out the Dremel to clear the layshaft pulleys.

Just got one of those too and noticed it was a tight fit. Can you please tell me where / how you are getting it to fit? What areas are you dremeling? Are you Dremeling the battery case?

Thanks in advanced.

Yeah, I just put a fine sanding drum in the Dremel and took some material out of the back upper side of the case (the part where the layshaft pulleys would rub). I removed about .75 mm from each side and then took a sanding stick and cleaned it up. The case is over 1mm thick. Just keep measuring with a caliper as you remove material if you are concerned with going through.

Yeah I just did the same thing only with a bench grinder. I have to say though that I thought the 3600 was a little flat compared to the 3200's. Odd since it's supposed to be 25C vs. 20C?

I have been using a Nosram Matrix evo and a Novak GTB both with a 4.5 novak motor.

This is outside on cold british tracks.

Cheers

Had the TC Spec, got rid of it, too bulky and too heavy.

Switched to the LRP Sphere Comp 2007.. has 8 profiles instead of 10 on the TC Spec and if you run 13.5 or 10.5 you don't need a fan at all.

I am running that ESC with a Orion 10.5 motor, fantastic combination and LIGHT!

Default TC spec

You can take the fan off the TC spec and it will fit fine.
try to servo tape the fan next to the speedo if you don't want to completely remove it. There was someone that posted a pic, using a quick connector on the fan wires.

Agree with StadiumChris on you don't really the fan if running a 13.5 or 10.5

Think there are some pics posted of different brushless speedo on this thread....if a GTB can fit then a TC spec can.
