Default Must I use HPI Damper Springs on My Pro4? Trinity Maybe?

I'm looking to get a set of springs to adjust my setup as needed. Can I save a few bucks and use another manufactures spring kit, the Trinity set for instance, or am I best off buying the HPI kit?

Also, does more coils make a spring stiffer or softer?

I bought a set of Losi springs for my Pro 4 as my LHS didn't have HPI springs in stock. I measured the inside diameter of the springs and the length (14mm and 25mm from memory) and the Losi springs were the same. I think the spring rates are different but I'm sure they cross reference at some points.

If you have a HPI car, then go for the HPI spring set...Like that, you may compare setups with other people on the track using the same car.
