so who are we going to expect in the invitational class then, especially with it being a worlds year i think evryone who wants to do well at the worlds will be there, and judging by the names of those having to 'settle' for an open mod entry we could be looking at one of the strogest line ups yet!

No because every year the rules say you can't. Plus I think that was a trick that was done some time ago and they just continue to put it in the rules to make sure someone doesn't get any bright ideas.
