I would like to pretend that the sponsored drivers make a porportional amount to the scale of car they are making as their real world counterpart.

Now if we could bring in scale money from billion dollar advertisers like soda and beer maybe that would be more of a reality.

Guys, as a person who pays a few drivers, a couple of which who are among the best in the world....I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt none of them make seven figures......and you can probably count on one hand how many drivers who have made 6 digits in one year....

And for the slam on Losi.....give me a break man. They have always taken care of their drivers.....their team has suffered a bit of late because of MF retiring, BK having some health problems, and a few other drivers just seeking a change.

Enough about the salaries...I want to hear about racing midgets? Do you put a saddle on them or control them remotely?

But on topic...making any hobby your full time job does 2 things to be sure.

1. Sucks most if not all of the fun out of it.
2. Doesn't pay squat

These are from my personal experience in the biking industry. That's why I now own my own consulting company. Software pays the bills so I can do fun things. Now back to those midgets!

For 99.9999999999999% of the people in the hobby this is just a hobby. The few who are getting paid are paid as a company rep, not just to play with toy cars....

Want to make money in the hobby, get your engineering degree and go to work for one of the companies...

Journalism and write about it....

Open up a shop....

I'm sure the companies don't want to have to sell 10,000 kits a year just to pay someone's salary....

Don't do that!!! If you open a shop, you incur overhead!!! Do what everybody else does now, and open an on-line "store".

Todd Hodge made 8 digits easily last year. I hear that he is now in negotiations, with the Governor of Ohio, to purchase Cincinnatti and turn it into an RC park. (After a little clean up, of course)

I heard all the top drivers were making mid 8 figures (50mil),
but then some sort of creative clash happened?
I then heard that they all quit and went to Africa.
I have a picture below of Atsushi Hara after signing his new contract.
!!!!He's Rich Biatch!!!!

I dont think Adam Drake can own a house and a 80,000 dollar Lincoln on 15,000 dollars a year.
