Barry, good luck with Xray. Maybe they will get you a m18 to race. Come to the darkside, look into the light Barry , some six cell micros turn really fast lap times.

Default Fast?

Barry, your T2 looked decent on it's first run. But when I said it looked a little too stuck on the track, I didn't mean you should peel your tires off. Anyway, I've got CA for you. You had good motor...let's see it...

Default First Impressions of all new thing(to me)

Let me just say that yesterday was probably the most fun I have had at a track in along time......most of the time just pitting across from Steve is comedy enough but it really felt good that people were comming over and saying its been awhile since they have seen me look as happy as I was...

ok now with my first impressions....

Car.....I set my T2 up at first like Pauls set up from the worlds...let me tell you..if you need tons of steering on a high bite track well then thats the set up for you....waaaaaaayyyyy too much steering for so cal(my opinion)....I changed Shock oil, shock position, front arm sweep, roll centers and rear toe(not too many things at once...LOL)next run out it was sooooooo easy to drive good traction and steering...very consistant laptimes(just a bit too much rear bite for what I like)after a camber change and just little tweeks each run on the track it became faster and faster.....racing didnt go as planned...roll over in 2nd round kept me from TQ(steve tq'd he is very fast at so cal)I was 2nd on the grid...followed by Don V. and Fred H. both also driving T2s(we all bounced ideas off each other all day and I felt all our cars were good by the end of the day).....In the Main on the first lap I entered the sweeper and my car went sideways(I forgot to check my tires for loose glue spots before the main) a tire came off on both inside and outside...so thats how racing went for me last night but I was not mad at all because for the first time out with the car I know how much potential it has and I am so excited to go racing again and again!

Motors and Batteries......All I can say is WOW! The combo between the Checkpoint motor and SMC batteries was INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! Can you say HP!

Novak GTX Speedo.......It worked flawlessly each and every run....I dont see why not more people use these speedos with brushed motors...Great feel..Awesome punch...Geat on the com...and the brakes were strong thoughout the whole 5 min runs...

Futaba 3PK HRS......at first the response was too fast for me(maybe getting old...lol)but after I adjusted the steering Expo. the radio felt really really good...if you havent tried one yet, if you know someone with one ask to pick it up...it feels really balanced when you are holding it and abosolutly no radio problems all night.....

So all in all very good first night out with all my new stuff....What a great start to a New beginning for me....Cant wait till the KO race and then Vegas!!!!!
