Default 4200/5300

Hi Lee and Stevo...

I was going to jump on the bandwagon and get the 5300 with schultz 58ce combo from Sam at Hobbylink. Just wondering if it will be worth that extra bit...any comments? $650 for a combo is kindda big hit on the wallet.

*sigh*

Pirvan,
$650 Australian is big bucks and really I could not justify that... I was thinking of maybe the Novak or Orion system available online for about $270US (about $495 Australian)
I am thinking It may be worth hanging on for a little while though because when it takes off a bit more the options will improve and so will the prices

Default Brushless

Lee: Yeah...that is in Sing dollar. I know quite a lot of people have it and in fact, if you check the brushless thread on rccars.com ... their comments on the schultz 58ce/4200 or 5300 combo has been pretty positive. No cogging and super smooth response. I have talked to 2 drivers of brushless and it seems they have sworn to that combo.

Steevo, i know dude. 650 is a lot to pay for a system. I seri0ously think i will wait a bit till at least the Tamiya enduro and see what happens. Lots of brushless setups will be exhibited. a first in terms of testing grounds for b/l. I'm going back to brissy sometime in March and i was hoping to be able to get something decent back htere for bashing. Maybe even use b/l...gear it conservertively and use it as practice motor for stock

Regards
Jeff
