yah its super vintage..

some1 correct me if im wrong but i think this model is a decade old...
and maybe the parts are very hard to find coz this is old..

try getting much newer version..

it depends on your budget,, whether go high end , middle or low end..
my advice is go for the begginers kit like tamiya tt01, then after you master the tt01 try to upgrade your kit to a much advance kit and so on...

hope these helps...

I don't think you'd get more than a 100 dollars unless it was NIB. Check ebay to see how much similar items sell for.

Which version of the TA01 is it? The most exclusive one is the Black Skyline with black gearboxes. Other than that they aren't really too collectable. I've owned a few and they've all gone away. If you have the entire car with shell and all then maybe it would be worth something. The body is where the money is at. Any pics?

Sorry for going off topic, but my local hobby shop has some pre owned rc cars. Do these offers sound like theyre worth it?
Pre-owned Tamiya TA-03F RTR w/ motor, Novak Cyclone TC2 and KO EX-5 radio system. Asking for CAD $150.

Pre-owned Tamiya CC-01 antique car w/ motor & painted body. Asking for CAD $59.

Pre-owned Tamiya TA-02 w/ motor, battery pack & painted car body. Asking for CAD $69.

I wouldn't be racing them. I'd just have them as collectibles. and maybe drive it around on my driveway. The TA-03F sounds like it can be raced though.

None of them are worth too much to me. The CC01 is not a cc01. It's a Toyota Hilux. It's in the same range as their racing stadium trucks that are 2 wheel drive. The cc01 is a 4 wheel drive truck like the Jeep or the Pajero.
I like the TA03 because it comes rtr and you can now buy a drift kit for it. The other 2 would be good for bashing. If that's the original skyline shell then I'd pick it up just because of that. If you want to look for good cars, get the Porsche 911 TA03-RS. That one is a keeper.

The bodies are seriously worth more than the car?

Talking

You can rebuild a car at a dime a dozen but the shells are where the real money is at. You can't rebuild them and if they take on damage then they will show.

Just a question, but will the Toyota MR-S carbon body be worth anything later on? what about the regular MRS?

I didn' use mine much so I thoght I would sell it if it were worth something. 'Cause I saw that it was discontinued on tamiya's site.
