Thanks for your answers.

Cheers.
On my Xray T1 FK'05 I have put 120g to balance (dont run to any weight limits at the club), 40g behind the cells, 20g in front of the cells on the chassis and 60g on top of the Lipo under the strap.

My club runs a 53.5 oz minimum weight and I had to add 14.7 oz to bring my car up to weight and I run the FK05.

I just had to get real cleaver on were I put it and still try to keep it low on the car.

hopefully as the LIPO battery becomes more of the STANDARD battery we will see weight reductions put in place.

in the long term, I'd think tire wear will be a little less...cars will pick up a little speed with the lighter weight...and you won't have to stuff the equal to a 1/2 a car in LEAD weight in it.

Steve B & ctd,

Thanks for the answers. It helps me a lot : number of weights & where to put them on the car.

I'm also glad to see that there is still some people who are running the T1 FK'05.

Cheers.

Hey Guys,
I'm looking for a Li-po to race for fun outdoors. I'm looking for something reasonably priced 3000mah+. Would the carbon edition 3200 be the battery to get?
Thanks,
Miachael

Default Happy Li-Po racer

From my personal experience ....

If you buy the Orion Carbon 3200

you will not only go a lot faster than you use to ....

You will also
become a happy racer, a very, very, long time ..

I like the Carbon for it`s lighter weight.....

because
I have learned adding ballast for better stability is a performance advantage...

Team Orion/Peak Racing, I hope hard-cased Lipo saddle packs are in the pipeline!

I have Platinums and Carbon Edition Lipo batteries that I use on my AE B4,T4, and Tamiya Dark Impact. They are simply a heavenly bliss to use and they ROCK!

I'm looking to buy a saddle-pack batt configuration 4WD buggy soon (most likely the cheaper BJ4WE clone - HB D4) and it is A HELL OF A LOT MORE CONVENIENT to use Lipo batteries on these babies.

I know MaxAmps have saddle pack Lipo batteries but I'd really like hard-cased ones.

Please spare me the hell that taking care of NiMH entails! Please!
