Ah, I'm not certain, that one may have additional steps involved, sorry. I imagine it's fairly similar, though.

Cool. Tower just bumped it to "early May" instead of "mid". I went and preordered one, hopefully I can get one on the way. I'm almost exclusively LiPo now, I want to down grade my ICE to backup and get this new charger for my primary. I'm always in search for that perfect and minimal pit setup.

i havent been keeping up with the thread, but has there been any updates on when a "new, heavier" 3200 lipo is going to be released?

adding 150grams+ worth of lead makes the battery look really ugly.

We are still finalizing the a couple of things including what material will be used and what the capacity will end up being.

I will release more info as it is available.

This is encouraging to know that a "heavy" pack will come out... It makes club integration easier. And as pointed out above save slapping on ugly lead weights... Im sure as 4800 and 5200mah nihms come out we will need to make the lipo heavier but at least at this point matching 4200 weight is nice..

I know the answer for both questions:
Capacity: 6000mAh
Weight: tungsten (density is 19g/cm3 vs lead which is "only" 11g/cm3)
Price: $250

So will you guys do anything with Kokams newest 30C cells?
Or even a "basher pack" consisting of a 3S 11.1V 3200 pack?

Back up on the price dude.
Save the weights and lessen the cost. I like'm light.
I'll go 150.00 on the 6000's.

I am preparing to make the switch to Lipos for my sedan racing. Any suggestions for battery chargers that are the best? What about the MRC 989?

FMA Scorpion is a balancing charger (yay) and can charge even the 4800 at 2C...What more could you want? Ok you could want a display, but why?

The MRC is allegedly a horrible charger in that sometimes it doesnt stop charging when its supposed to. IDK if this is true, but its what ive heard.

Personally I dont get why anyone would buy a charger that isnt a balance charger. That being the case its hard to go anywhere but FMA

Yesterday I balanced my 3200 with my Ice... and it worked perfecty... from a difference of 0.05v between the 2, I have them now both charged at 4.19v... I pretty much think that if you have a 2S configuration, you can do it with your normal charger.... 3S or 4S is another different story....

cheers

yep... although nominal is 3.7v per cell, each cell reaches 4.2v during charge... actually it is when current starts to decrease and the charger just supply enough current to keep the cells at that potential difference.

Default How much weights to balance my cars ?

Hi guys,

I've just bought a team orion 3200 lipo carbon edition.

Here is my question : how much weights do I have to add to balance my cars (Losi XXX-S G+ and Xray T1 FK'05) ? What is the weight difference between 3300 and 3700 Nimh and 3200 carbon lipo (in gr please) ?

Thanks for your answers.

Cheers.
