What charge state should they be stored in for extended periods? Full, half, somewhere between? I've just finished my second month of no runs with no opportunity coming up.

Orion recommends 50%, as per their instructions that came with the carbon.

Mr.Black,

I could store it closer to 100% w/o ill effects right?

Ran it for about 5 or 6 minutes on the charge it came with ..

I beleive the instruciotns say "atleast 50%" and yes storing them with 100% is actually prefered and will give you a little bit longer lifespan. Keeping the batteries at 100% charge as much as possible is the best for their lifespan.

That clears that up. I'll happily continue my battery maintenance regiment of doing exactly nothing for the winter. Just have them stored in ammo boxes at full charge.

Just ran the pack in my mini today. You can really feel the extra punch/speed! Did have some weight issues though as i frequently tailspinned on the first turn. Novak Smart Cut off kicked in nicely but a check on the charger showed 6.85V. Why is this? I thought its suppose to kicki in at 6.25V.
Any help on adding weight and location for a mini-m03 would be appreciated. Is it also true you can charge at 4A with no battery life reduction?

I would say your charger showed 6.85v because the Lipo was not under load unlike when the cutoff kicked in.

Sorry , There is not room for the weight ...
You can try , but the battery strap will not fit under the shock tower if you raise the battery ..

I was thinking along the same lines, ended up with what you see...

you can add ~ 3oz under the battery using .063" think lead tape bringing the flat part of the bottom flush with the rounded extensions.

Yeah , there`s a bit of room in the recessed middle, you could put perhaps a extra oz or two there...

Will be getting some lead tape from a Golf shop today....
