Thanks for the input , we actually looked into that but it would greatly increase the cost due to added product steps and shipping costs. Also we figured by allowing each individual user to ad the weight themselves it allows them the best advantage as they can then ad the balast as neccessary for there personal application.

We have even looked into making a custom weight system but again weights are by neture very heavy and therefore the shipping cost is insane which would drive up costs for consumers. We know our customers are very driven by price and this is the focus of some ideas we have going forward. We will never cut corners on quality but price is always a factor that we try to keep reasonable for our customers.

Your very welcome, thank you for the kind words.

Just an FYI the batteries arrived in our wherehouse yesterday and have begun to go out today so many of you should see them on finer hobby shops by weeks end.

Are these batts safe to use for offroad? Granted I've been using my platinum lipo and have been hit from behind flipping my rc 360deg on asphalt and breaking the rear end I have gained some confidence with these lipo batts in crashes. But how about the abuse of offroad, is it safe?

The first ad picture Orion did with these packs was of them in a offroad buggy, so I doubt they would do that if they weren't confident of the safety factor.

Mod touring crashes are much more severe than anything in off-road. And the battery is much more exposed to damage from other vehicles.

These batteries are safe for all vehicles.

Ok thanks. Will look into how much the price savings is compared to a platinum lipo when it arrives at the lhs here. The shaped battery casing is very appealing for offroad use.

The moment I posted my interest with the new carbon lipo this guy txted my cel and wants to buy my platinum. I think you're the one with the shopping spree for lipo goodness.
Not for sale though I only have that and a few tamiya stick packs left.
I want this carbon because it would fit perfectly on my offroad kits.
Yeah thanks for the excellent deal with the charger. I would have been staring at the lipo batt without it.
