My friend was charging his 3200 lipo and it went up to 3400 mah! It was still going up but we stopped it right away to not damage the battery.

Does this mean that the battery is bad now? Should he still be using it?

Thanks,
Mark

It's been 3 weeks since Mr. Black posted this and he's only made one post on rctech since then. I hope he's not having any health issues or problems at work. Regardless, I hope he or someone else from Orion will check-in soon to let us know how things are coming along.

No Health issues , though thanks for your concerns.

We have spent the last 3 weeks preparing and moving to our new location in a much bigger building and office.

Also now that we are partners with Kyosho we have begun to go through and re-evaluate or LiPo line and by "re-evaluate" I mean look to further increase what can be done.

We will not only be releasing and working on even better Lipo's for R/C 1:10 scale but we are now expanding our plans and designs to incompass other applications. I have kept many things under wraps for the past several months, as our company was in transition I did not want educate those that were leaving. Now we can get back to finalizing and releasing the next step. I.E. we have not even begun to show our cards.

Orion needs to do a 3S pack for the Traxxas brushless RTR's.
After they sell a billion of those, maybe the racers will get better pricing on their 2S packs

The 3200 will stay the same but there will be another battery coming that is larger (in capacity only)

We already have the 3200 and 4800 now available with the TRX plug and other 3 cell packs are already available:http://www.teamorion-avionics.com/Ba...+Li-Po/4800mAh

But this will not be the last you here of Orion systems for these applications.

Mr Black,

Is Orion still going to make a "heavy lipo" designed for 1/10 2WD electric offroad?

If so, when do you think it will be made available to the public?

Don't BS your customers with excuses about why new products have not been released

In the end the consumer will win. Two companies with cased LiPos specifically for R/C cars will certainly lower prices and increase availability. Look for some exciting announcements from my end very soon :-)
