Default Help with GTB Brushless/brushed esc

i connected my Cobalt 27 pro today using the y method and it doesnt run. the red light is solid and the green one blinks. i have steering but no motor.
when i plug in the white thing i think its the harness for the brushlesss only then it will run. why is that and why isnt my cobalt running.

Default GTB

Go over the setup steps...over and over in your head..before you try and do the actual setup....it took me a while to get the right sequence right..
but if you're in doubt..grab another brushed motor and try the setup with that..just to see if it's the motor (doubtful)...
The sequence of lights is a bit tricky the first few times..but once you get use to it becomes second nature. Hope this helps. cross your fingers and hope it isn't the controller itself.

When switching from bl to brush or vise versa you only have like 3 seconds to hit the setup button.

When that happens you are still in brushless mode. The GTB really sucks when it comes to programing

It's pretty easy to program it, you just have to read what you have to do then do it, don't read while you do it as it doesn't give you much time to press the set button.

Easy to program but hard to determine which mode you are in. The Sphere Comp makes this task much easier. Anyway Im with Dodgeguy. Probably in the wrong mode.

When in brushless mode and a senor is not connected, one of the leads blink like what keachj06 described. So probably in the worng mode.
