would be nice if we can predict the weatherforcast for a race which is 7 or 8 months ahead.
Because we can't, it's impossible to host an EC with total garantee it will be dry.

In Italy at the worls it rained too.

Once you're there you have to make the best of it.

for tomorrow 93% change of rain...

I agree with Frans. There is no guarantee the weather will be good whereever events are hosted. No one enjoys racing a Euros in the wet but arguing not to hold Euros any more North than southern France is, I believe, a bit ridiculous. Especially since there is no guarantee it won't rain when you go further to the south. The past years we've simply been very unlucky with the Euros.

If they have followed the time-schedule, qualifying should be over by now...

This is the top ten after qualifying is finished according to the info I have found:

1. Moore - HB
2. Fischer - Corally
3. Groskamp - Xray
4. Leino - Schumacher
5. Graversen - Tamiya
6. Pumpler - HB
7. Rheinard - Tamiya
8. Ahoniemi - Corally
9. Völker - HB
10. Weiß - Xray

Apparently it has stayed dry today. Andy Moore is dominating totally, apparently running the Orion brushless system. I believe Marc Fisher is running the GM brushless system. Marc R has had many problems. Tyres are causing problems for many drivers with only 6 tyres for each driver for the 5 rounds of qualifying.

This is all just things I have read from other sources so can't guarantee anything...

Hi,

I totally forgot to post info on here and the results. Sorry.
http://www.rcweb.de/board/viewtopic.php?t=40712
I'm posting here in german. You can see all the results.

kentech said the most important things.
Noone is able to follow Andy Moore. He is totally dominating. Awesome driving and amazing punch. He catched Marc on the straight... Good GM BL system...
The Novak BL isn't working at all. Craig Drescher has a good number of fans in his car and isn't able to make the 5 minutes. After 3+ minutes is system shuts down.
IB is the winner of the Euros. Only 2 drivers are using the GP4300. One of them is a driver from Switzerland. He said that he wasn't able to finish even 1 of the 5 heats because he always dumped.
Marc had bad luck yesterday but is coming now. If it's raining tomorrow he will be one of the guys to beat.
Tires became a problem today as it was dry and the drivers had to use the VTEC 27R. They wear out way too quickly...
All 3 heats today were in dry conditions. After the last heat of group 15 it began to rain... And that was real rain... not just a bit...
It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow as the weather forecast says that it'll rain even more then today...

Cheers
Chris

Too bad, after the best covered event ever, the World Championships in Italy, we now have the worst covered event...
Apart from a couple of people who give us a brief idea of what is going on, there really aren't any good reports on the net..

Hopefully, at least after the end of the event, more detailed info, reports, photos (cars, equipment etc) will be available..

For the time being, from what I tried to understand from rcweb.de Andy Moore is doing very well, having 3 wins and one 3rd place. He is running ORION brushless.

Marc Rheinard had some problems with his radio/receiver, and with his brushless. To make sure he is in the final, he used a brushed motor.

At some point Andy caught Marc at the straight and went by him with obvious advantage in power. I did not understand whether that was when they were both running the brushless motors or if it occurred when Andy was with Brushless and Marc with brushed..

All the above might be wrong so if there is anyone who can confirm or correct me please do so.

Hopefully tomorrow we will be better informed of what is going on..

SORRY, we don`t have any chance to go online on the track!
all infos i give to chris by phone. i`m on the track and he is in munich.
after everry race i call him and he put it in the rcweb: www.rcweb.de
here is the thread:
http://www.rcweb.de/board/viewtopic.php?p=354557#354557

now i have more than 300 pictures online, www.rc-racecars.de / Gallery

andy moore is the fastest in everry run, nobody can beat his speed.
but marc is faster in the corners. on the long straight, andy must break, otherwise he bump marc`s back of the car
respect to the other germans, 4 in a-final

sorry for my bad english ....

OlliR,

Thanks for the info. Didn't mean to be rude, just curious of what is going on.
If you or your friends get a chance, please post photos of the cars and the equipment they are running..

It seems my info regarding the ORION equiped drivers was false...

Half of the ORION drivers are using brushed and the other half brushless..

andy, steen and thomas brushless
marc, teemu and steven brushed

if my info ( my eyes ) right, marc try 2 times brushless. 1 times motor defekt. for his last chance in run 5, he change to brushed. he make a " secure " turn, and he going to 6 in his heat. that is enough for a-final. with the brushed he have no chance to beat andy. but andy is lucky in run 5, a view seconds after finish his motor is also defekt.
but tomorrow i thin is big rain in all finals, so marc have good chance to win from place 7 now. in rain the power is not so important and marc is a godd rain driver.
