Default best equalizer/discharger for ib4200 4cell 12th scale packs

i'm looking to get a battery disscharger/equalizer that i can use with 4 cell packs for my 12th scale.
what models and makes are the most reliable and what type of features should i be looking out for to do the best job?
are there special 4 cell models or do the main 6 cell type models work the same regardless weather 6 or 4 cell?
thanks for your recomendations
joe

Tekin makes a tray that holds eight cells, so you can equalize two packs at once.

Buy the Team Wave Lightning! Super thing man, even better than the Much More CTX-D!
Greetings Ollie

I use the Integy 30 to discharge to the lights just go out. Put them on the Tekin Battery Doctor for about 20 mins. before charging.

You can use any tray as long as it doesnt bring the cells below .9 . I recommend either the Much More CTX-D or the New Trinity DPD.

The Much More Zero V or CTXD are very nice trays. The CTXD is the most feature packed discharge tray currently on the market.

There are a lot of good trays out there; Trinity, LRP, Novak, Tekin. All of them do pretty much the same thing, just at different rates.

I would personally avoid the Integy 30. With no cut off, it can do serious damage to cells if left unattended. Always good to choose a tray with a cut off, preferably adjustable like Novak, Much More, and the new DPD.

wow, there seems to be a huge choice of discharging systems out there!!
what sort of price ranges are the various brands and where can i find these online?
the muchmore is a little out of my price range as i'm told that they are at least $300aud here in australia although it looks like the most effective so far for the new cells.
thanks for all the recomendations,
not sure if it makes my job of choosing one easier or harder
links to photos or shops selling them would be most helpfull
cheers
joe

Hey Itchy b,$300.00! wow...I have a Novak and am very pleased with it.$75.00 One option it has I like, you can set it to hold at.09.instesd of hitting .09 and turning off,it will stay as long as you leave them on there. You can plug it in the wall or use your 12v supply. And you don't have to put battery's in it AAA's so it works. And parts are available from Novak.I use it to equalize only, after the 0-30 discharger lights go out, also $70.00 30 amp discharge.
