Default Helios Problem

I just switched from an M11 to a Helios and am having a problem with the Steering Balance. The Radio won't access the Left Steering Balance. Anyone else had this problem?

I assume that you know to turn the steering wheel FIRMLY to the end of its travel to adjust the Steering Balance. For some reason, I do have to turn harder in the left direction than the right on my Helios.

Do a VR adjustment on the radio and it will fix your issue.

When the function is ready to accept +/- steering balance adjustment changes, you will see an asterisk ("*") next to the words LEFT and RIGHT.

Otherwise, if you have to adjust the LEFT and RIGHT steering balance function with anything more than 10% difference, I would also suggest that you check the steering geometry of your car.

What is a VR adjustment? No problem going into the right balance. Left just will not show the asterisk no matter what. My balance is good but I want to have access to the adjustment if I need it. Never had any of these issues with other radios. Seems crappy for a "High End" Transmitter.

Trust RC Old Man and HarshGuy. They know these things.

See Page 56 of your manual.

Actully it is the most adustable radio on the market. Basicly the the VR is like Calabrating the Radio. All other radios must be sent back to the manufacture to do this. I usally do the VR adjustment about 1 time a month. READ YOUR MANUAL!

RC,

Your VR comments really picked my brain.

Do you record all your current settings before doing the VR recalibration?

Does the VR calibration apply separately to each individual vehicle setup? Seems like it must.

Thanks.

I have not had to reset any settings after doing the VR adjustment.
The VR applys to the entire radio not just one model.
Hope this helps.
