Sold out

I've tried ordering gp3300 400+ from world class and they were out until 2/6/03 and promatch is out also. Anybody know where to get these bats. Also wut about the 390+.

KINGZJ 01-22-2003 12:08 PM

If you are running stock then I would not worry about the runtime. You will never dump a 3300 in 5 minutes of racing with a stock motor. The real importance for stock racing is the voltage not the runtime. Now for modified then you would want all the run time you can muster and voltage is not as important....

In fact for stock racing I prefer the ultra metal hydrides over the 3300 they are lighter and I never have runtime issuse.

Warlord - try Stormer Racing Hobbies. They sell SMC batts and may have some in stock.

kt hobbies has pro match or smc

Unfortunately we are out of the Pro Match cells as well, however I do have SMC cells in stock.

I am working on getting some GP cells from another battery matcher. They are Hefty Cells and are distributed by Team 1. The batteries will come with shrink wrap and silver battery bars. Just something else that seperates them from the others that are out there.

weaponx 01-22-2003 08:14 PM

The Hefty Cells are quite nice I made the A main in the Novak Race using these cells.

Warlord, try ProMatch's website again, I think they just got a new batch ready a few days ago(I ordered a pack on Sunday, website said they had them in stock then)...;)

they do seem to sell out fast...popular or hard to get??? but good cells if you get them!

These cells are just hard to get right now since they have just been approved by ROAR. My supplier just got a shipment in today from Pro Match and sold all of them within an hour. I got four packs from this shipment while I could. What are your guys' numbers? My pro match numbers are 1.149. with an IR of like 17.

warlord385 01-22-2003 10:53 PM

i just got the 390+ will get 400s later

futureal 01-22-2003 11:32 PM

What kind of numbers are the high-end packs coming out with on GPs?

I picked one up that's 409sec @ 1.151V, 3.1IR. 30A of course. That's a SMC pack.

How much better do they get?

KINGZJ 01-23-2003 05:47 AM

I got a new pack from Hurricane (sorry kraig) and the highest number in the pack was 1.138 and I have another new pack from promatch thats highest cell is 1.151 and the Hurricane pack is much better than the promatch one it is very noticable. After talking to one of the Team 1 guys about the number on the cells he told me he doesn't know where some of these matchers are getting suck high numbers it must just be the difference in the matchers

Rob68 01-23-2003 06:52 AM

Are they matched the same? ie. discharge rate, charge rate, etc.

KINGZJ 01-23-2003 07:58 AM

Yes they are matched the same. Hurricane,Team 1, Promatch, and I believe world class all match to the same charge and discharge and .90 cutoff.

Kevin K 01-23-2003 09:55 AM

Maybe they are traping the voltage and not showing it on the label.....dont forget you can make your labels say anything you want them too. Jesse if you can feel a big differance between the two then thats got to tell you something. I cant belive these high numbers that some of these guys are claiming too. I know what I get from my matcher is not anywhere near as high as what these guys are saying they are.:sneaky:
