Default tires for carpet rubber vs foam

which is better rubber or foam ,what types compounds and insert if any.

that's too general of a question. Foams will be faster but rubber holds up longer. What type of racing class will your track be running is the biggest question.

like stnlst just said, it really depends on the what the track runs. A rubber tire might last longer than a foam until it's junk, but I think a foam tire will be faster for much longer. It seems like rubber tires are fastest the first 3-4 runs or so, while a foam tire stays pretty consistant from run to run.

sorry forgot it's an indoor carpet track alot of people run foams but I just have to do the opposite to prove it can be done.

It can be done, but you will never be quicker with rubber vs foam on carpet

when properly setup, rubbers can be fast in the right hands. When a car is properly setup for foams it is unbeatable in the hands of a good driver.

I just switch to foams from rubber and the foams are faster.
