So we go down another slippery slope that it appears slot car racing already visited. How long till the rear fenders are slab sided for max downforce instead of rounded (a la Parma's M-Type)? How long till the "greenhouse" is only 2" wide to allow max air to the wing? I guess we are lucky in that there are minimum height rules for TC's. Perhaps there should be more rules.

Kudos to the originality of the design of the DNA, though.
True, but if someone wins with it sunday, everyone else will be painting one monday. just my .02

I'm hoping that the enclosed wheelwells will induce some natural ground effects - and will be just as fast without a wing. What say yee?

Dale - LOL!

Dale any news on whether you are going to import this nice looking machine into the UK, looks hot.

As an aside, I find the body rules that are used by the BRCA a touch draconian, and old fashioned. However as I read it is up to the importer/manufacturer to submit the body for approval to the BRCA, can you tell me if this new body will submited to the governing body for approval?

From memory our rules say that it must be technically be "based" on something. It's said right from the start that this isn't, so i very doubt it would be legal. That might not stop CML bringing it in though as i think they bring the nemasis in which is simial in this respect.

If I also recall correctly, I believe that the Protoform Nemesis is also or has already been submitted to ROAR for approval.

I believe that the control over the bodies not becoming funny cars or slot car door stops lies solely in the hands of the few who make up the ROAR body approval committee. As long as no body is allowed that doesn't completely disregard the spirit of the class and TC racing in ROAR, I don't think anything will change in RC racing bodies anytime soon—other than the fact that we will soon have a lot of choices in what bodies to use.
doug

Dale, me and some others from all over the world have worked on a template, to keep "Touring car proportions", for future touring car bodies. Even today, some is more looking like a FunnyCar in proportions in order to give better handling. In the end, do we want these cars to look like a Touring car or become a Outlaw?
One of the most important issues for Roar, EFRA; Femca and IFMAR is to see how we can continue with our hobby / sport without giving the profit away to the "real car industry" in royalties. Fantasy bodies need to be judged quite tough so we donīt loose the perception of a touring Car while letting the rules free.

Edit: Read Dales mail. He just handle the english language so much better. I would like to do it that good.
I just aswered while I wrote, and have not yet read Dales before I aswered.

In regards to the licensing, you may notice that the Parma "M-type" has been approved. The inspector recognized it as "resembling a 4 door sedan " of a certain type without a certain name being attached. Follow the leader...
