That's me......old skool. I have restored an Associated Dual Sport..electric version ground up. All I need to complete it is a set of tires...still looking. Also I have restored a RC10 Worlds car...from the early 90's I believe. It has the black tub. Always on the lookout for old skool cars as long as there are reasonable in price. Ebay has been a great source of parts. Anyone else restoring old race cars? Gotta be more out there.

Yup, I really love the old stuff, too. Great thread idea.

Everything off road, 12th scale and dirt oval from circa-'83 to 93, give or take. I have a restored to new condition SRP-1 4wd dirt oval car in my sig, as well as an early 90s Trinity Revolver12. My current project is collecting parts for a replica of a highly modified RC10 that I raced in 1988 or so—MIP diff, Houge trailing arm rear suspension, Composite Craft graphite and a lot of other parts that never came from Associated. It's a long, slow (and expensive) process, but everything shows up on eBay eventually.

I donno about you guys, but I'm a sucker for NOS cars and parts.

Best way to value your old car is probably to search E-Bay items that have ended, I don't think the old 12s are worth much though.
Doug, I know what you mean about NOS stuff, I have a bunch of cool Thorp bits as well as tons of Tamiya classics.
www.tamiyaclub.com is the best place to find oldies, even non Tamiya !

I just picked me up a Kyosho Lamborghini Diablo (1990) NIB! I am debating building it. I also have one built that I am restoring... I will be using some of the parts from the kit to re-mold and use on the restoration. (stuff like mirrors and windshield wipers) I am also considering back pouring one of the 2 new bodies I have and improving, and pulling new ones. We will see how crazy I get.

It is my understanding that this car was never imported to USA.. so it took some searching to find!

I still use my RC10T, with a RPM chassis, truck is indestructable... I'm really not so into collecting as I am going through my stockpile of old parts (and parts cars) and getting rid of some stuff. I contemplate fixing my Blackfoot and then decide against it. Just sold off a Kyosho Outlaw Rampage. RPM RC10 chassis among other stuff that's just taking up room....

I kinda wish I had my stuff from the 70's, I've watched stuff on ebay and it's just too pricey for me.

About the only thing I have is one of the original Futaba box wheel radios. It's in mint condition including the anntena which is straight as an arrow!! The thing actually works perfectly and has no dings or flaws!! Only problem is I'm not into collecting the old stuff anymore. May be interested in parting with it if the price offered was fair.
