While I'm remembering I've also got the Tamiya Ferrari F1 sitting on top of the TV. I've also got the front and rear axle conversions to make the front rear axle for 1/12th american tires.I've also got a Composite craft F1 chassis in the bag. Also have the front conversions. This was how we raced them back in the days (97-99).

Actually yes there is a MK2 Gallop on E-Bay right now ! it's new in the box though, so might fetch a few $$s.
If you can't find it, pm me, I'll send you the link.

Awesome thread, makes me cry to think I've had and sold so many pieces of RC history over the years. One I can't seem to let go of is my Playtron Mercedes Benz 500k. It's the small pic in my avatar but here's a link to someone that had one on the tamiya club site.

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_m...=20337&sid=501

Still got it NIB, sorta.....Built most of it without instructions, still a few parts in the box but have had the motor running, that is to IDLING for about a tank. Would like to buy more but the wife spits it when I buy new stuff to race let alone kits to out on the shelf and look at.

Great work guys, keep it up!

Dan Louis won at least one Cleveland Carpet Nationals in 1/12th stock with a Bolink car, as did Scott Smith, in the early 90s. Both were Bolink team drivers. There were a few big wins at high level oval/superspeedway races, too, IIRC.

Bolink also made a go-kart body like the one above to fit there cars.Bolink never did win a 1/10th on-road championship. They came close with there California flyer car. It wa driven by Rick Hohwart I believe. Rick has the lead near the end and both him a Cliff Lett tangled. The rear wing wire got hung up and Cliff won the nationals for Associated (Ranch Pit Stop track).
Still have by CF chassis.
Bolink did alot better in oval - after all they came out with the LTO chassis first. And the 1/10th on-road car first.

Just read on a British site that they are going to have a rare japanese car on from tamiya. Anyone know what it is?

Latest word they are finally having a vintage tamiya on road car on. I was told it will be up on www.rctvlive.com by Tuesday the latest. They would not say which one it is. They also said they will have a suprise and rare tamiya on in the very near future. It is said that only 4 survive in the entire world and that 3 are at tamiya in japan. I have no idea what it could be. Cheers

they be Technacraft rims I think.
Come up on both Tamiya Club and E-Bay occasionally.
Look superb !
A nice cheaper alternative is the chrome outer that Losi made for standard RC-10 rims, that's what's on my gold tub car.

Definitely Tecnacraft—LONG since out of production. VERY highly valued in the collector's market, and a long-shot to find them in a reasonable price range. They usually hit upwards of $150 on up for pristine sets. They were two-piece wheels with various styled gold centers.

The RC10 and vintage collectors will gouge your eyes out for a set, then eat your children—and then be happy about it.. If you have to have a complete set, be prepared to dig REALLY deep into the slush funds. A cool trick to get some faux T-crafts is to pick up a set of the newer JPS wheels that pop up on eBay a lot more often—and a lot cheaper—and paint the centers with Tamiya clear yellow/orange (candy yellow or orange). Other candy colors are available, too, and look fantastic.

On-road 1/10th scale Tecnacrafts, minty fresh from 1987...
