Default This is a cheep radar gun

I know it’s only a toy and you get what you pay for but I have to ask….will it work and how accurate is it?
I think it does up to 100Mph and has a conversion switch too.

I believe that Radio Shack has Bushnell radar guns for about $70.00.

That's the one you want to get... And it looks a lot better than a 3PK too..

How accurate are the Radar guns from Hotwheels and Radioshack? How far is the maximum accuracy when you point these guns on moving objects? Looks interesting and cheap too especially the Hotwheels.

If you read the product description it says:
The Bushnell Speedster Speed Gun uses digital technology and digital signal processing to provide accurate, real-time measurements up to +/-1 MPH. Use it to clock a baseball's speed from 90 feet away or a race car from 1500 feet away. Measure speeds from 10 MPH to 200 MPH. Easy to use with its point-and-shoot operation and large LCD display.
* Provides up to +/-1 MPH accuracy

I’m fairly sure that DickSmiths is the Australian version of radioshack. DickSmiths sell radioshack brand too but not that Speedster gun.

the hotwheels gun is very cheap about $29 Australian dollars…..maybe I’ll try it and see

The Hot Wheels one isn't very accurate. Someone on another forum tested one and it was out by about 25%.

The hot wheels radio gun is a nice TOY. Accuracy is not important in toys, it drives up the price. But 25% out sounds too much, I'd expect them to be within 5%. And he who has the most toys when he dies wins. Besides 30 to 40 bucks to know how fast your car is going is cheap.

http://www.opticsplanet.net/radar-guns.html has fine range of cheap-ish speed guns.
