New KO Vantage Esprit 3

Probably of more interest to UK drivers, however do I spy Andy Moore and Masami Hirosaka using a new KO Esprit handset?

Have a look at the podium picture:

Anyone got any better pictures or information?

New stick radio, that sounds good. Im using the original Vantage Esprit II, but I do seem to have a problem. Here in the states no one carries any of the KO radios, and when I called up a few places, they told me that they could not get one for me. And if I ordered one from England, I figured it would cost me probobly over 400 with the exchange rate from pounds to dollars. Can someone give me a few suggestions?

Switch Blade, just contact KO USA, they will sort you.... I can get stuff from them to the UK quicker than going through my LHS, to order from Helger...

New computer module by the looks on the KO.

I'm guessing that if this is a very new model, it will have Spektrum compatibility?

I hope so, otherwise will it really be worth changing?

To be fair, if they are bringing a new unit out, it won't be Spectrum, it will be there own 2.4Ghz just like Futaba are developing.

Looks like a full PCM unit, with a scroll wheel I assume for the menu system.

Looking at the aerial, seems to be 40MHz (or equivalent).

I've been looking round for a new radio for a few weeks now and the only stick radio that is spektrum compatible is the sanwa super exzes (M8 module). Considering that the pic has a conventional antenna it would likely be a normal FM or PCM radio.

Yeah, I think KO's first 2.4ghz system will be a wheel because of the much much bigger market.

Even in the UK more and more are moving away from sticks and into wheel's, just so much more choice.

The UK distributor for KO (Helger) offers this service:

Too bad if you drop it and break the antenna. I have seen it done.
