Always good to carry a spare or at least be able to borrow one!

Much better to get a radio that is already compatible.

If you drop you're transmitter I think you have more things to worry about than just the aerial.

I see more damage from interfierence than from dropping transmitters too. Infact I dont think ive ever seen anybody drop a transmitter, most people are carefull.
I have saw cars plow into walls at full throttle due to somebody turning on on the same frequency though. (including mine)

So i'd rather be carefull and not drop my transmitter

Anyone here in the states looking for any KO product should contact Josh @ CEFX raceway... He always has what you need. AND i know for a fact that he has moved a vantage or two.

I think his email is [email protected]

It may be a 2.4ghz unit and they just used a 40mhz aerial so as not to give too much away. Maybe.

Im not from KO but here is some info that i no. 5 were taken to the worlds and as far as i no 4 were used. It looks pretty old school but the screen is backlit and it has more functions. Its still 40Mhz but response time is faster than the current Vantage. Not seen anything on other websites yet. At a guess KO could be working on their own 2Ghz system as its the most sensible way forward, but stranger things have happened and they could come out with something better.

I assume its a Helios PCU and module put into a new case. It would make sense as then KO would only need to make one style of module for sticks/wheels, 27/40/2.4 etc.

Is this some sort of pre production model? It seems to have a 'retro' look to it

Hey Guys just got back from Italy and yes, that is the new pre-production radio. Only five were taken and four used (one as back-up). All the same features as the EX-10 Helios plus more.

At this moment the new features will include:
-Idle Up
-Steering dual rate overide
-3 Ch mixing
-Stick angle tilt (up to 40 degrees)
-Four response modes (Normal, Super HSR, Advanced HSR & Ultra HSR)

The radio has not been finalized yet, this is still pre-production. Things may (and probably will) change.

We are expecting to have this finished and released before December.

For the US we will only have FM 27MHz available. Japan and Europe will have 27 & 40MHz.

2.4GHz is not ready at this moment.
