I'm you're a beginner I wouldn't recommend either cars, but rather a car like the TA05, T2R, FRP Mi2... You'll pay a lot less, will have a car that will require less maintenance and will not break when you crash, and they'll be easier to setup while providing good performance.

Also, do not go and buy tons of upgrades for whichever car you choose, your best bet is to keep your cash to buy a top end car once you're confident with your driving.

After having driven the TA05, wich is a great machine to learn, I went for the Evo5.

And I'm glad. It runs great, it's full options, lots of blue stuff and you don't have to ruine the steering like on the MRE.

I run 23T and 19T.

He actually said MSX, not MRE for clarification.

Shafts are better for stock racing i think. However, I also think that belts are easier to drive if your setup is not all that great. And if I were a beginner, I would choose the TA05. Easily upgraded, and it has proved itself on the track.

But who am I to tell you which car, my very first car was an EVO III Surikarn Edition - i opted for the shaft!

None for you Buddy....You should go for the TA05 to learn the ropes 1st.You won't feel good if you crash your $400+ MSX as compare to a $150 TA05.
