[Help] How to setup the parameters in Novak Millennium Pro for IB4200?

My new battery is IB4200. I still using the Novak Millennium Pro now. Anybody can tell me how to setup the parameters for the new baby? Thanks

Should be about the same as for IB3800's, try a 5mV per cell threshold, use the linear NiCd charge mode & charge at 5-7 amps(depending on your tastes)...

Thanks, I'll try it.

Why are you using the NiCAD charging mode for NiMH batteries?

Use the NiMH2 mode on the Pro for charging the batteries.

On the orginal mill you had to use nicad mode as nihm was for TX and RX packs and had limited amp rates... The PRO could be used in either nicad or the new nihm2 mode i would assume, as long as the delta peak is where u want it and so is the amp rate.

Well, you CAN use the NiMh2 mode, but I haven't been able to tell any difference between that & using the Linear NiCd mode, except when you do use the NiMh2 mode, it takes away control over the voltage threshold, which I DON'T like, so I stick with NiCd Linear mode....

Thanks, I've tried the NiMh2 mode. But there is something wrong. My Millennium Pro cut off after I started it for ten minutes. By the way, the NiCd Linear Mode can work correctly now. Novak M Pro is an old machine, can it charge the new type NiMh battery? I'm suspecting that. Maybe I need a new charger now. ;)

there is nothing wrong with the charger, as stated above use the NICAD mode and set your volt threshold manually. After reading grizz post i recall now that the nihm2 mode had very conservative threshold settings and so todays nihms could faulse peak, back in the day panosonics where hot(or warm) and they needed baby soft low threshold or they would smoke..

Use nicad mode and set manually the threshold
