MRC/Academy STR-4 Pro -- Ad another sharft drive to the fray.
In the 01 october edition of rc-car is a review of this new car. It looks nice and with a few mod's looks like it could do well. Post your thoughts on this car here.

i saw like in RCCA when they had the issue for "Whats New for 2001" and they had a "pro" version of the car that had carbon fiber decks and alum center shaft. What ever happened to it? Does anyone sell it?

To me it looks the same as a TBO1 EVO but with a few changes. Sorry no pics right now but I email'd rc-car and hopefully they will send me a pic soon. There are no pics of the car on the web that I know of not even on MRC's website. It will be sold for about $220 which is the approx street price on the car. If I get a pic I will post it here strait away. It is in rc-cars oct edition with a full review.

This car has been out for a while, in stock form, about same time TC3 hit the market. MRC hasn't done much, if anything to promote it in the US. The car is quite popular back in its home country though. Pro version is all graphite, it's somewhat a mix of TB Evo and TC3. Imagine a TB Evo chassis, with TC3 suspension and gear box.

LOL and calling it a G-ride? That car was not gangsta. But, a magazine did do a write up on it not too long ago, so there may be hope. Dude, best bet, go to the Pro4 thread and do a set-up based on that car. This thread doesnt have enough posts, probably not too many folks with this "g-ride" anymore.
