There is a Academy MRC specific forum on RC Universe I believe, which a rep from the compnay does follow and replies to questions. If you search here on RC TECH there is some info-

Default Anyone Still running one of these?

I got one real cheap on E-bay but I have been afraid to race it because I have zero spare parts for it.

If I spot someone selling one on Eibay cheap with a bunch of spare suspension parts I might just take a chance with it.
