Default ball bearings what to do

Seen and read a bunch of different things on cleaning ball bearings. rctvlive.com has a guy from one of the bearing companys telling how to maintain them. Is that how most of you do it? I guess since he works with bearings as a job his info is probably good. I hope.

They're a buck a piece, I don't 'maintain' bearings, I just replace them.
