BMI racing made most of Warpspeed's stuff. After Warpspeed went away they started doing thier own stuff and have made significant improvements. BMI is huge with the Xray guys and in 1/12th but they still make TC3, TC4 and Mi2 kits.

Is that true? Years ago, there was a big battle between Warpspeed and BMI for the aftermarket TC3 chassis market. The build and machine quality of the Warpspeed items wasn't anywhere close to the BMI workmanship, and I bought a BMI kit. Side by side, it was easy to see that there were a lot of quality differences in the two company's items.

Jason made a TC3 chassis and a nitro chassis to begin with, but I don't think it was after Warpspeed at all, but in competition.

The only thing that Warpspeed sold that was a great idea was a "blueprinted" diff case setup with helicoiled threads and relieved bearing races. With better quality Associated molding, those parts became unnecessary.

Keep your eyes open on eBay if you REALLY want one. They pop up every once in a while.

BTW,

Art Jensen of IRP was the guy that actually built most of those diffcases up.

Another tidbit.......

Apex - You are exactly right. BMI did a run of chassis for them then Warpspeed went elsewhere.

yes, that is correct.i did his first 2 prototypes for him and 5 test kits for him to send to his drivers.i went no further than 7 kits for him.i refused to do business with him after those kits because it was like pulling teeth to get paid.
he went off and had about 8 or 9 shops do his work and seemed to wear out his welcome pretty quick with them too.
