Hupo - Get well soon. It sucks to miss the worlds but you have had a good year with a lot of solid finishes.

Ha! Ha! You actually have to work to be eligible for workman's comp! From what I have heard, Barry spends most of his time on the couch either sleeping or playing Texas Hold em online. When he is not doing that he is usually on the Golf course. Maybe that has something to do with his lack luster performances over the last few years.

Either way, but the main idea, I guess, is to hit the carpet.

IMO, if in europe the weather (read : rain) are considered as another extra handicap in which they are more familiar running TC in wet condition,
then they might not consider any indoor carpet for TC, at this event,

If you really want to crown a world champ, have a set a 4 races. Carpet foam and rubber and asphault foam and rubber. Run clockwise for one set of tires and counter clockwise for the other on both tracks. Best 3 our of 4 races count. That will seperate the men from the boys...

I know it'll never happen but I can keep dreaming...

Do you mean it doesn't rain in North America? Ask Mr. Baker about Edmonton 2 years ago ! and I have heard it rains in Seattle and Florida as well.

Has anyone watch F1 in the rain? it is a great leveller of equipment, and really the best drivers stand out in the rain.
As for tyres, at least as a spec tyre event, everyone should be equal, they might all suck and have no grip, but should be about the same.
As stated eariler, it's not really a wet track that's hard to drive on, it's a damp one, and a track that changes through a round is just going to lead to some drivers getting really lucky or really unlucky. Let's just hope for some nice weather for the next few days, and I'm sure and Italian win at the world cup would go down well too !

its not about the rain itself, I don't think you would ever prep and running your TC for wet race (rain) but else would prefer run on carpet when outside is raining, thats my point,
its not better or worse nor easy or difficult

...beyond skill and tyre, car electronics prep is not kind of lucky or unlucky matter, electronic + water is not a good combo.. I dont think current car escs and receivers are really 100% waterproof (splashproof??), maybe some balloon wrap or some plastic case will do the trick..,
