Somebody said that they're going to run rain or shine tomorrow. What if it's raining? Do they still run the spec tires or what?

Jonny Aird: I never said anything about a limited number of rain tires on the market, I was asking the above question, what will they run if it does rain, because that's the whole point of a spec tire, everyone HAS to run that tire, but if it rains it will be pitiful on the track I would think.

Hi,

I don't know how it's at the WC but at the Euros in Denmark last year and this year in Germany the drivers are allowed to use rain tires.
At the Nationals in Germany we have to run the tire that is given to us. Insert and wheel free.
It's possible to drive...
But this is an 36 tire... could be too hard...

Cheers
Chris

finally, all those pit towels that come with the entry fee are being put to good use.

I have a feeling it will be a spec wet tire, or somebody will be hunting local hobby shops for a hidden stash of the preferred choice.
