I thought Masami was going to use brushless GM stuff?? But to leave Reedy, the winningist motor division in the world, He must really feel it is time for a change!!! So much for loyality!

Now what kind of a remark is that? Masami is one of the most loyal drivers in the business! As to brushless, don't forget that Orion has a brushless system under development too...

The Orion Brushless is the same system like the GM System, only another sticker (maybe different software). So there's no change, only the shirt and the stickers on his body...

That may be true for the speedo (although I think Orion may have some special requirements there) but certainly not for the motor itself.

Any news on what ESC he is now using? Previously he always used a GM ESC also, is he still using these ESC's or perhaps now using the Yokomo version of the VFS1?

Umm, to be fair, I think Masami has been with Reedy for well over 10 years, if that is not loyalty what is ? He is like any other human, he realises that at some point things must change. He was the dominant factor at any race meet years ago when I was a kid, kinda if he turned up then they may as well have given him first place and gone home. He is still a major player in RC and has just I feel had a few years of bad luck.

As someone else mentioned Yoke make the Reedy motors, and I don't believe he is moving away from them either. They have always been a very strong combo with Reedy, Yoke and Associated's names always seeming to be in the same centance. As such his loyalty to Yoke is still there.

Have to say, if I ever had a chance to spend a day with a racer, I thinkI would choose him (sorry Spashett)

Default Not word for word but......

I think it was just after Masami won his last offroad title,He was asked how long he would be racing AND using Reedy motors. His reply was....Until Mike Reedy retires. I don't think loyalty is an issue here.lol.

Guys, more news will be available after the end of the day.
It is still only free practice and the openning ceremony is also today.

Are you saying that what is stated in the ORION website is not true?

There is no way that ORION would post something like that unless they were 100% certain that it is a fact.

Masami will run ORION equipment in these worlds.
